Amber “Flutienastiness” Underwood is a dynamic performer, composer and educator whose signature sound bridges the worlds of jazz, soul and contemporary groove. A classically trained musician turned modern innovator, Amber leads her own band and captivates audiences with expressive flute melodies and infectious rhythms. Her debut album, "This Is Me," showcases her vibrant artistry and passion for redefining the flute’s role in jazz. When she’s not performing on Kansas City’s top stages — from The Blue Room to The Ship — Amber shares her love of music as a dedicated educator, inspiring the next generation of musicians through teaching and mentorship.
