The Kansas City Latin Jazz Orchestra, led by renowned percussionist and bandleader Pablo Sanhueza, brings the vibrant rhythms and rich traditions of Latin jazz to life. This professional ensemble features a mix of seasoned musicians and emerging talent from the orchestra’s Latin Jazz Studies Program, creating dynamic performances that blend precision, passion, and infectious energy.

Audiences can expect lively salsa, mambo, and Afro-Latin grooves, infused with the charisma and artistry that have made Sanhueza a celebrated figure in the Midwest and beyond.

About the series

Lenexa Parks & Recreation's Outdoor Concert Series takes place on select Sundays in May, June and September. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, pack a picnic dinner and enjoy a variety of live music in a lovely outdoor setting.
