Family Campout

Plan to arrive between 4–6 p.m.

Enter Black Hoof Park off of Monticello Road and W. 90th St. 

Set up tents east of the 9-hole disc golf course.

5–8:30 p.m.: Craft zone and free fishing poles and bait are available to reserve for the evening (first come, first served).

5:30–7:30 p.m.: The grills will be fired up. Bring your food to the Oak Shelter to cook on-site.

7–8:30 p.m.: Campfire s'mores are available.

11 p.m.–7 a.m.: Quiet time.

7–8 a.m.: Free donuts, coffee, and juice available at the Oak Shelter.

8:30 a.m.: All tents must be taken down and packed up.

Restrooms are available all night (east of Oak Shelter).

City of Lenexa staff will be on-site all night.

Lenexa Police Department will patrol the park regularly through the night.

• Tents only. No RVs or trailers allowed.
• No alcoholic beverages permitted.
• Tobacco is allowed in our parks, but as a family event we request all smoking to occur at least 100 feet away from gathered participants.
• All garbage must be placed in the proper containers. Recycling will be available.
• Children must be supervised at all times.
• Consider your camping neighbors at all times. Disorderly or ill-mannered conduct will not be tolerated.
• No pets will be permitted at the Family Campout.
• All park rules and regulations must be followed at all times.
• Lenexa Parks and Recreation is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
•  The shelter fire pit will be available for the entire group, no personal fires allowed. If we have a fire ban in Lenexa, we will only operate the grills for food and no campfire. 

Notice to campers: Any violation of the rules is grounds for ejection from the Family Campout. There will be no refunds. Any guest who must be asked to leave will forfeit all fees paid.
