Citizen survey results: Lenexa soars above the rest

Lenexa residents are highly satisfied with the services the City provides. The latest citizen survey shows Lenexa outpacing both regional and national averages once again.

Every two years, we survey residents to assess their satisfaction with the delivery of major City services and to help us determine the community’s priorities as part of our ongoing planning process. In fall 2025, 835 residents participated in the most recent survey — well above the goal of 600 responses. This large sample size provides a high degree of accuracy, with results precise to within ±3.37% at a 95% confidence level.

According to ETC Institute, which conducted the survey, “Over the past 25 years, the City of Lenexa has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to maintaining and enhancing the quality of its services. Survey results show sustained excellence across core areas such as public safety, overall services and community image. Consistently high satisfaction levels, many exceeding 90%, reflect the City’s dedication to service delivery and continuous improvement.”

“These ratings are more than numbers,” said City Manager Beccy Yocham. “They’re a clear signal that our investments, planning and daily work are making a real difference for our residents. It motivates us to keep improving.”
