Teachers invited to enjoy free Group X fitness classes Aug. 18–22

As a special thank-you to the educators who help shape our community, the Lenexa Rec Center is offering free access to Group X fitness classes for all teachers during the first full week of school, Aug. 18–22, 2025.

Teachers simply need to show a valid school ID at the front desk to enjoy any Group X class on the schedule at no cost. From energizing cycle and strength training to calming yoga and dance-based workouts, there’s something for every fitness level and interest.

“We know the start of the school year can be both exciting and exhausting,” said Johnny Linder, Rec Center manager. “This is our way of giving back and helping teachers take care of themselves as they gear up for another impactful year.”

No advance registration is required. Just arrive early, bring your ID, check in at the front desk and find your favorite way to move.
