Don’t wait until spring to start looking. Lenexa’s 2027 seasonal job applications are open now, giving teens and college students an early shot at a great summer job.
We especially need lifeguards and camp counselors, plus swim instructors, coaches, pool staff and Rec Center staff.
If lifeguarding isn’t your thing, we’ve still got you covered. We’re also hiring:
Camp director and assistant camp director – Help manage our licensed summer day camps at the Rec Center and Old Town Activity Center.
Camp counselors and head camp counselors – Lead games, crafts and adventures that make summer unforgettable for kids. You can also help with our camps during the school year, when class isn’t in session for kids grades K–6.
Driver – Provide group transportation for a variety of city programs and events.
Swim lessons instructors – Teach an essential life skill in a fun, supportive setting.
Swim coaches and dive coaches – Help our Lenexa Lazers improve their swim times and perfect their dives to reach the next level.
Pool managers and pool cashiers – Gain leadership or customer service experience at our outdoor pools.
