City Clerk

The City Clerk serves as the official custodian of city records and the city seal, provides support services to the City Council, and responds to requests for information and records.

Request recognition from the City

We often receive requests from residents and organizations in Lenexa to recognize awareness months, weeks or days, and accomplishments or special events. We are happy to accommodate those requests, when possible.

Governing Body Policy on recognition requests

Proclamations and recognition

We issue proclamations to focus on a given subject for a specified time, such as public health and safety awareness, or celebration of an historic event. We also know our residents do amazing things, and we want to recognize them for it. This includes Boy Scouts who have completed their Eagle Scout Awards, Girl Scouts who have received their Gold Award or other residents whose accomplishments deserve recognition.

Please fill out the form to request a proclamation or recognition.

Special assessments

Your property may be subject to a special assessment that helps finance improvements to your area. If your property has a special assessment, it is listed on your tax bill as a non-mill levy tax. If you have questions about this assessment (pay-off amount, length of the assessment or interest rate), contact the City Clerk with your parcel tax ID number.
