Give back to Lenexa through Park Board service

Looking for a way to make a lasting impact on your community? Help guide the City of Lenexa’s decisions on park development and improvements, programs and events, and recreation facilities. We are seeking to fill an open position on our Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. 

The volunteer Parks & Recreation Advisory Board is made up of nine members and meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. This group provides valuable feedback to staff and makes recommendations to the Lenexa City Council. Members are appointed by the mayor with the consent of the council and serve three-year terms.

Applicants must be Lenexa residents. If you have applied for a Park Board position within the last two years, your application is being reviewed. You do not need to apply again.
