Outdoor Concert Series
Pack a picnic and catch free live music on Sunday evenings at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park (May 17–June 14, plus Sept. 20 and 27). This year’s lineup spans jazz, R&B, pop, country and alternative.
Lenexa Community Orchestra
Celebrating 10 years, the Lenexa Community Orchestra delivers a powerful indoor concert experience June 27, July 18 and 31. It’s an awe-inspiring way to enjoy a summer evening.
Friday Night Sound Bites
Kick off your weekend with free live music and local eats from merchants and rotating food trucks every Friday at the Lenexa Public Market (May 29–Oct. 30 except June 12 and 26). Seating is limited, so bring a lawn chair.
Moonlight Bike Ride
Ride through Lenexa after dark — including a one-of-a-kind loop through the underground Meritex caves — on July 18. Finish strong with a pancake feast at the end.
Lenexa Freedom Run
Start your Fourth of July off on the right foot with a 5K or 10K. Run, walk or bring the kids along in a stroller.
Tiny Tot Triathlon
On Aug. 22, kids ages 3–9 run, ride and splash their way through Little Mill Creek Park. It’s an adorable introduction to fitness and fun.

Sar-Ko-Par Aquatic Center
Speed down the tube slide or float your cares away on the lazy river — this destination pool has it all. Open daily noon–8 p.m., May 23–Aug. 9, with modified hours Aug. 10–Sept. 7.
Flat Rock Creek Pool
A laid-back neighborhood spot to cool off with friends and family. Open daily, noon–7:30 p.m., May 23–Aug. 8.
Splash With Me
Perfect for little ones, this program offers playful water fun for tiny swimmers. Available at Flat Rock Creek Pool, Sar-Ko-Par Aquatic Center and the Lenexa Rec Center.
Paws in the Pool
Let your pup take the plunge at this dog-friendly event on Aug. 15.
Swim lessons
From private to small group sessions, summer is a great time to build confidence in the water.
Movie in the Pool
Watch “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” on the big screen after hours at Sar-Ko-Par Aquatic Center on July 24.

Ice Cream Social
Kick off summer with a sweet nod to Lenexa’s past—ice cream, live music and a classic community gathering on May 16.
Global Neighbors & Flavors Fest
Experience cultures from around the world on June 6 at the Lenexa Public Market, with global cuisine, music and vibrant performances.
Pitch Lenexa Watch Parties
Catch the soccer action June 12, 25 and July 11 on massive LED screens near City Center Drive and Hampton St. Come for the game, stay for food trucks, drinks, face painting and all-ages fun.
Community Days Parade and The Great Market Carnival
Celebrate the Fourth of July in Old Town with this red, white and blue tradition. Want to be part of it? Gather your group and sign up by June 15.
After the parade, keep the celebration going at the Lenexa Public Market with the Great Market Carnival — free, family-friendly fun featuring classic games, a colorful chalk art contest and a jaw-dropping juggling show.
Legler Barn Museum & Depot
Step into Lenexa’s past. Visit Wednesdays or Saturdays to explore exhibits, pick up a Passport to Adventure, borrow a croquet set or take home a nature kit.
Family Night at the Market
Wednesday nights at the Lenexa Public Market are made for families — food specials, 330+ board games, coloring pages and outdoor yard games. Great Lenexa BBQ Battle
Home to the Kansas State Championship, this event also features live music, kids activities and food trucks. New this year: Limited BBQ samples from sponsors on Friday night (June 26).

Lenexa Farmers Market
