Lenexa Farmers Market Attendant Tom Robben loves finger-lickin' fare. This is his personal recipe for saucy baked chicken wings. Get locally raised chicken from Hedgewood Farms, JET Produce and Meats or TableTop Farms.
40 chicken wings 14 ounces ketchup15 ounces tomato sauce1 cup apple cider vinegar (dark)Dash of Worcestershire sauce1 teaspoon dry mustard1 teaspoon ginger1 cup brown sugar1 cup white sugar
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Throw away small part of wing. Cut drumstick and center piece into two pieces.
Place chicken wings in large baking dish (such as Pyrex), but make sure they're not piled on top of each other.
Mix all other ingredients together in a bowl to make a sauce. Pour the sauce over the chicken wings to coat.
Bake wings for 1 hour at 350° F. Then, turn the heat down to 300° F and bake for 1 more hour.
