Fitness Programs at the Rec Center
While the Rec is a great place to work out, it's also a great place for community. Get active with small group fitness programs at the Rec. These expert-led classes typically last four to six weeks. You do not need to be a member to join. Register in advance.
Youth
Youth Small Group Training
Help your child build confidence, strength, and endurance in a fun, supportive environment. This non-competitive program introduces youth to the fundamentals of strength and cardio training through age-appropriate exercises and activities.
Karate
Build strength, confidence, and discipline through Shindo Jinen Ryu, a traditional Japanese karate style. Students progress through the ranks by mastering fundamental techniques, learning self-defense, and practicing competition-style kata (forms).

Active Ager Strength Training

Lenexa Run Club
Whether you're training for your next race or just looking for a reason to get moving, the Lenexa Run Club is a fun, social way to stay motivated. Join fellow runners for group workouts, support, and accountability as you build endurance and improve your pace. All experience levels are welcome. The club typically meets for spring and fall sessions.
21-Day Jump Start
Offered at the start of each calendar year, this 21-day program is designed to help you jump-start your fitness goals with expert guidance, noticeable results, and a supportive community.
